To Whom It May Concern:
Today I attended the Making Strides game. I have attended this game all four years and love it. I love the 'Topes and please know that I will still continue to come to games. However, I felt it necessary to bring my horrifying experience to your attention.
With me at the game I had my 5 year old girl and 2 year old boy. When I told them they could run around the bases after the game, they were so excited. I have never let my kids do it before so I was unaware of the rules or procedures. I just followed everyone else to lead my kids to the bottom. When I got down there, my kids took off but the guy stopped me and ad no parents were allowed. "Okay," I said, "what about my little one?" He told me I could meet him at the end. I kept asking if someone was going to escort him and he just kept blowing me off. I started hauling butt to the other side and could see my kids almost finishing running the bases. When I got to the pick up station, I couldn't find them anywhere. I panicked. I know they had made it around the bases but I couldn't see after that because of all the people. After a few minutes I decided to run down the stairs and down there is where I found them, waiting with my brother. I was so scared.
I'm sure you have good reasons why the parents aren't allowed on the field, and that's fine, and I can understand things are chaotic but from a parents point of view that was horrifying. This will not hinder me from coming to games, or even letting them run the bases. I know what to expect now but the staff should probably be a little more empathetic when there are parents and little kids involves.
Thank you for taking the time to read my concerns and "Go Isotopes!"
Sincerely,
Sabrina Jane Gordon

Donations Needed For Silent Auction pretty Please
Dear Friend,
Camp Cough No Mas debuted in the summer of 2009 as the only week long asthma camp for New Mexican youth. A total of twelve campers were able to experience this life changing activity and their families were able to see their children accomplishing things that they never thought they could. Camp Cough No Mas is staffed with extremely competent activities’ staff and a dedicated clinical staff that includes a pediatric pulmonologist, experienced nurses, and respiratory therapists with critical care backgrounds.
This year, through a partnership with the YMCA of Central New Mexico, Asthma Allies will host Camp Cough No Mas Day Camp in Albuquerque. Our goal is to allow 60 children with asthma to participate in an Olympic-themed activity camp while learning about asthma and increasing their asthma self-management skills. The camp will be held June 21-25.
On Saturday, May 1st at Seasons Rotisserie & Grill, Asthma Allies will be holding this year’s annual Camp Cough No Mas fundraising event, “Springtime in Tuscany”. This event will feature a silent auction. I hope we can count on your generous donation of gift certificates or gift baskets. However, any donation amount is greatly appreciated.
If you require additional information on our organization, or would like to make a donation online, please visit our website at www.asthmaallies.org.
Thank you for your consideration. We couldn't do it without the generosity of donors like you.
Sincerely,
